A seasoned veteran of the US and UK healthcare systems, I have been fortunate to work for HCA for over 26 years. HCA is a highly disciplined organisation which leverages its size to create top quality local healthcare networks. Running HCA’s international subsidiary has allowed me to develop an ability to translate this US discipline into success overseas. Under my leadership HCA UK has grown from a small four hospital business to a comprehensive tertiary healthcare provider with six owned Hospitals, three specialist private facilities operated in partnership with some of the leading NHS trusts (UCLH, Christie, Guys and St Thomas), a network of 16 state of the art Outpatient Diagnostic centres and one of the largest private GP offerings thru our RoodLane and Blossoms GP subsidiaries. HCA UK is now a £1 billion turnover business, employing over 6000 people and working with 2000 of the UK’s leading Doctors and consultants. We are the highest quality rated hospital group by the CQC, with the first complex care hospitals to receive the Outstanding ratings. We operate the most comprehensive cancer network in the private sector and have a strong commitment to research thru our SCRI research program operated in partnership with UCLH.
