Responsibilities include Human Resources, Global Supply Chain, Legal, Government Affairs, Aviation, Amway Hotels Corporation, Founding Families Engagement, Board of Directors facilitation. I began my career as an intern, prior to my senior year at Michigan State University. I was immediately drawn to the principles of Amway's founders -- Freedom, Family, Hope, and Reward -- as well as the values -- Partnership, Personal Worth, Integrity, Responsibility. Our founders were authentic, servant leaders. This became a foundation for me, and a model that intended to emulate in my career. Being a privately owned, global organization with a focus on 'Helping People Live Better Lives', made Amway a place I wanted to be following graduation. The combination of offering individuals the chance to own their own business as an entrepreneur, with no capital investment, was highly intriguing. Coupling that offering with fantastic, differentiated products became a passion. The simplicity of the model was often misunderstood, but those who used our products and were serviced by Amway Business Owners that focused on building communities of individuals focused on their health and wellbeing, was a unique combination. The simplicity of that offering still resonates today and is vastly different than "gig" opportunities, whereby there are virtually no communities/relationships, and personalized offerings are rare. After working for a tech company for two years, I returned to Amway in October 1992 and have enjoyed countless opportunities ever since. I am humbled and honored by the people I have worked and interacted with, positions I have held, and cultures that I have experienced throughout my career. Truly a blessing. I have also used Amway products for 35 years, allowing me to enjoy a healthy lifestyle, raising six children with my wife of 30 years, and running countless marathons across the world (culminating in my World Marathon Majors Six Star medal in 2023.)
