Responsible for planning, organizing and promoting a Regionwide volunteer corps to support a wide range of volunteer opportunities in the Brazos Valley. Engage individuals in volunteer activities that support first responders, disaster relief groups, and community safety organizations. Strengthen the collaboration between government and community leaders from all sectors to encourage citizens’ preparedness through education, training, and volunteer service to make communities safer, stronger, and better prepared to respond to all hazards and all threats; coordinator of regional volunteer organizations active in disaster (VOAD); regional VOAD committee chair.

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, performs tasks necessary to meet contract specifications.-------This time was mainly utilized to further career development in the Emergency Management field which was undertaken through volunteering at the Bell County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) reservist program as well as enrolling in the American Military University Emergency and Disaster Management master of arts program. Focused time was also spent preparing to become an International Association of Emergency Management (IAEM) Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) as well as to be certified as an All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT) Liaison Officer (LoFR) - both certifications still in progress.

● Division EOD Officer and CBRNE Planner: Perform planning and analysis at the theater, operational, and/or tactical levels to support theater warfighting capabilities including but not limited to campaign plans, support plans, operations plans (OPLANS), nested plans and other supporting documents and orders including but not limited to campaign orders and Operations Orders (OPORDs) as they relate to CBRNE operations at the Division level.● EOD / CBRNE Operations Officer: Oversees and supports programs and implementation of protective measures that enhance safety, protect life, health and the environment; protects critical assets and infrastructures vital to mission execution and ensures continued operation of mission critical/essential functions during a CBRNE incident. Maintains awareness in emerging technology areas; uses knowledge of the principles and methods to identify, analyze, specify, design, and manage CBRNE requirements.● Company Commander: Lead and manage an EOD company consisting of approximately 43 soldiers. Plan, coordinate, and execute EOD operations in various environments. Train and mentor soldiers in tactical skills, C-IED proficiency, and physical fitness. Ensure readiness through regular drills, exercises, and evaluations. Maintain discipline, morale, and welfare of the company. Liaise with higher command, staff, and other units to achieve mission objectives. Responsible for equipment maintenance, logistical support, and resource management. ● Company Operations Officer: Responsible for establishing and enforcing headquarters section procedures, assembling and supervising the platoon leaders during company Military Decision Making Process (MDMP), ensuring a coordinated and synchronized training, maintenance and operational plan each month; works with the Battalion Maintenance Control Officer, Supply Sergeant, and Battalion Property Book Officer to prepare for inspection of the Command Maintenance/Supply Discipline Program (CMDP/CSDP).

Expert in maritime navigation and weapons operation. Executed maritime port security mission and responsible for boat equipment and maintenance. Assist in training, direction, and supervision of unit personnel in all activities relating to maritime operations when coxswain and squad leader are not present. Team leader for repairing, maintaining, and stowing equipment in preparation for underway operations. Ability to work on deck, handle lines and operate systems under direction of the coxswain as required.

Under the supervision of the Fire Chief, and officers, performs advanced firefighting work in preventing, combating, and extinguishing fires, responding to hazardous materials incidents and emergency calls which include special rescue situations such as motor vehicle accidents and medical emergencies.
