-Serve as Ground Operations Manager (Special programs) for AFRC Safety Directorate. -Perform as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for high profile programs within the Reserve command, i.e. fall protection, arc flash, confined space, HAZCOM, etc., assisting subordinate units and bases with issues pertaining to these type programs. -Provide daily direction to subordinate wing safety staffs and commanders. -Handle complex, high-risk, and diverse operations, and include particular emphasis on occupational safety and health, transportation, risk assessment. -Provide command guidance to subordinate personnel on Federal, DoD, and AF safety program criteria involved in handling, storage, and/or disposal of toxic chemicals, hazardous materials, and/or hazardous wastes.

- Inspect and evaluate Ground safety programs for aircraft maintenance, aerial port, and transportation functional areas.- Plans and schedules inspections, evaluations, and surveys of facilities, equipment, and operations; identifies deficiencies and best practices in the Wing, Group or Squadron safety programs.- Develops and maintains comprehensive checklists - Maintain a thorough knowledge of all AFIs, AFOSH Standards, OSHA regulations, NFPA, and ANSI Standards.- Document inspection findings and help unit initiate appropriate program improvements based on findings. - Advise the LCAP commander, superintendent, and key managerial personnel on conditions, which impact the safety and efficiency of unit personnel.

- Serve as HQ AFRC Safety Directorate Occupational Safety and Health Operations Manager.- Review complex health and safety plans/programs and develop and issue instructions and procedures establishing technical and administrative occupational safety and health requirements which frequently become official command policy.- Evaluates, for the command, a variety of unconventional occupational safety and health problems or circumstances; determines risk assessment of the hazardous processes/conditions identified; and determines applicable methods and procedures for controlling or eliminating hazards.- Develop AFRC programs and campaigns involving a variety of diverse safety guides, materials, and products.- Command advisor on Fall Protection, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space and Arc Flash.

- Serve as the Ground Safety Manager (GSM) for Arnold Engineering and Development Center (AEDC) consisting of 60 test cells/wind tunnels. - Serve as Functional Specialist for the evaluation of the AEDC operating contractor’s 2400 personnel, measuring performance and determining award fee, by evaluating contractor compliance with state, federal, and DoD safety and occupational health regulations. - Responsible for establishing and managing mishap investigation process, serving as senior investigating officer on complex industrial mishaps. - Conducts and reviews Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to evaluate a variety of complex, unconventional safety and occupational health problems or circumstances.- Advise key managerial and executive personnel on course of action affecting facilities, work processes, and environmental conditions.

- Serve as GSM for the 919th SOW encompassing 1300 personnel.- Plans, directs, coordinates, reviews, and evaluates activities necessary to the overall management of a diverse ground safety program which includes aviation operations, aircraft maintenance, construction, transportation activities, aerial port, and medical organizations. - Plans and schedules periodic inspections, evaluations, and surveys of facilities, equipment, and operations; identifying deficiencies and best practices in the safety program.- Advises Wing Commander and other key commanders and managerial personnel on conditions, which impact the safety and efficiency of personnel. - Coordinates with environmental, bio environmental and fire protection personnel on issues affecting unit functional managers and supervisors.- Develop and provides technical safety training/instruction to managements, supervisors, employees, and/or unit safety representatives on topics to include but not limited to; fall protection, lockout/tagout, confined space, arc flash, traffic safety, risk assessment, proper storage of hazardous materials, and mishap prevention.
