Current• Leader on the team that managed the GE Capital migration to an internal cloud based application server environment. The project migrated GECA's middleware platform from multiple vendor and open source technologies to the IBM Pure Application platform running WebSphere with a projected $2MM annual cost savings. Successfully marketed and drove adoption to the platform by becoming a cloud advocate explaining the significant advantages to the internal IT business teams. • Managed the successful technical migration of the top 100 Web Based J2EE applications used by the GECA business. Retired more than 75 servers during the migration.• Developed and implemented the operational and support model for the new hosting platform. Additional accomplishments during this phase of the project were the successful rollouts of Tivoli and Wily Introscope as well as implementing the Linux virtual machine patching strategy.• Enhanced the business value of the platform by developing high availability patterns for the IPAS platforms. Developed automated virtual machine disk storage maintenance processes using Tivoli, shell scripting, and splunk OS level reporting.
