Michael has been closely involved in the development of SMARTS Trade Surveillance since its launch in 2003.Utilising experience gained as head of Investigations team in the Surveillance department of Australian Stock Exchange, and then Compliance roles for various broker-dealers, Michael was instrumental in the development of SMARTS as its initial Product Manager - he has been a key driver of its growth from its proof of concept deployment in 2003, to its current status as the leading global trade surveillance solution. In that time Michael's roles have included Head of Global Sales for SMARTS, and his current role of Vice President - Head of Product Management (Risk & Surveillance Solutions) at Nasdaq.
