The position of Logistics Director at Dreamcatcher was a thrilling and challenging opportunity. Working for large corporate clientele and NGO’s throughout Africa brought interesting and rewarding challenges. Multi tasking and managing various projects simultaneously was an essential skill that was required in this position. Working successfully with multi national teams on Hospitality, Production, Sales and Media requirements was hugely rewarding.• Management of Dreamcatcher Multimedia events in Africa such as- Nelson Mandela 46664 AIDS Concert, MTV BASE Launch and Women’s Development Bank Fundraising Banquet, AMAA Ceremony in Nigeria- Launch Events for BMW 1 Series, Organizing the Global Mining Conference 2008 for 300 delegates.-Launch of Dalton Private Game Reserve, 120 guests form across the globe.• Client liaison / Sales• Oversee the production of concerts, conferences, banquets, and events.• Overseeing of Hospitality for larger events.• Budget Management on all aspects of projects.• Source service providers for project development.• Develop appropriate project concepts and launches to meet customer needs.• Co-ordinate and lead staff training and on-site support. • Provide technical support to customers regarding project development and concept development.• Data base management• Source suitable entertainment and MC’s for corporate, public and private events. • Drafting of and editing of Press Releases for Media Events

This was a partnership between my former German employer and I. We introduced new lighting technology to South Africa showcasing it on various trade shows. We also introduced a new German glassware to South Africa from our own store. The agency for the glassware was later successfully sold onto a large chain. • Shipping Manager and Customs clearance for products coming from Germany to South Africa.• Management of Roomdivision CC events in Germany and South Africa such as- Red Bull DJ Academy, Capetown- Permanent Lighting Installation for Deutsche Telecom, Germany - Design Consultant for 3deluxe, Wiesbaden e.g. World Expo 2000- Product development for Glaskoch Leonardo.• Developed appropriate concepts and launches for Roomdivision customer needs.• Provide technical support to customers regarding project development, concept display, sourcing of materials, staff training and on-site support.

Starting as a trainee at this company in 1996 I quickly became a key member of staff. Learning from some of the top people Germany how to produce events and sell concepts I eventually became a Project Manager in 1999.
