For a self-proclaimed introvert, you'd think I'd pick any industry other than hospitality to find my calling. Nonetheless, my journey as an emerging Business Management professional has seen me climb the ranks across a handful of restaurants whilst completing my degree at Queensland University of Technology. Ironically enough, I had never longed more for human interaction than when my classmates and I were plunged into two years of online learning. All these experiences gave me the skills to work both virtually and interpersonally. My online capacity has greatly improved; I have become far more adaptable, organised and resourceful as a result of the online components of my degree. My time in management roles across hospitality venues has given me superior interpersonal and management skills. I have come to pride myself on my leadership, time and resource management and communication skills. As a bonus, I can comfortably deal with any 'Karen's' your business may face. I look to continue my progression into Operations Management roles and beyond in the immediate future. In completing an internship with the RawGROUP Hospitality Operations team I have been able to gather first hand experience and lessons I will carry with me throughout my career. Beyond that, I'm not sure what the future holds, but I'm excited to see how it all pans out!
