¶ My PhD research focuses on developing nanoparticle drug delivery systems to potentially improve the solubility, bioavailability and efficacy of plant-derived bioactive compounds for managing type II diabetes. The research involves in vitro biological studies.¶ Experienced in plant extraction, isolation of bioactive compounds using column chromatographic technique, lyophilization, phytochemical screening, development of nanoparticles drug delivery system, FTIR spectra analysis, NMR, electrocardiography, pulmonary function test, glucose uptake study, MTT cytotoxicity assay, protein isolation and standardisation, nutraceutical study of food and plant samples, proximate analysis, anti-nutritional analysis, in vitro drug release, in vitro antidiabetic assay, in vitro antioxidant assay, in vitro anti-rheumatoid studies, and experimental design for animal studies.¶ My research experience has helped me become more proficient with computers and improved my academic writing, communication, data collecting and analysis, and presentation skills. I have published a few manuscripts in reputable journals.¶ The nature of my experimental and theoretical acquired knowledge involved a great deal of independent research with minimal but productive supervision from renowned academics. Furthermore, I can work in a team to adequately complete assigned tasks.
