Temporary worker at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics. Assisting a laboratory research group headed by Michael J. Pugia, Ph. D., intending to develop a method of diagnosing cancer through a blood test. Duties included: preparing samples, reagents, and hardware for testing as well as performing the testing, finding ways to improve the process and fixing errors when they arose, general laboratory maintenance and inventory management, and data analysis generally aided by microscopy or spectroscopy.Also used, wrote protocol for, and worked to improve a process to make slides for the testing, although the slides have since become obsolete.

Hilltop Apartments

Hilltop Apartments at Purdue University is part dormitory, part student apartments.Cooperated with the full time staff of Hilltop and other student workers, performing general maintenance and housekeeping for student apartments. The ultimate result was that the apartments were ready for the next group of incoming residents.Also performed housekeeping duties for various conference attendees who lived in the apartments at various times during the summer.

Performed various tasks, including, but not limited to: food preparation, working in the dish room, shuttling various equipment between stations, and preparing the dining court for opening.Normal employment with Ford ended in May of 2013. However, during July of that year, while working at Hilltop, a call was put out for student utility workers at all of Purdue's dorms for help with a conference that had several thousand attendees. Volunteered for this, and worked there for three days, doing the same things as before.
