Drafted a gap assessment report on biodiversity conservation in the Great Lakes to support the Habitat and Species Annex under the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement. Literature review of existing programs and initiatives on habitat and species conservation, synthesis of key conservation strategies, and summary of key gaps between achievements and proposed actions serve as potential first step towards a binational framework for prioritizing future conservation activities.The report fulfills Key Commitment 3 under the Species and Habitats Annex of the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement to "Assess gaps in current binational and domestic programs and initiatives to conserve, protect, maintain, restore and enhance native species and habitat as a first step toward the development of a binational framework for prioritizing activities".

I was responsible for supervising undergraduate students' first year chemistry lab sessions to ensure experiments and lab protocols were followed in a safe, timely, and proper ways. Any concerns or questions students may have on the lab materials or lab experiments were brought up to me for explanation. My role as a TA, especially in a possibly daunting course for first year undergraduates, motivated me to make an effort to be easy to approach and welcoming to the students, encouraging questions about the subject matter. The position also required me to keep knowledgeable about the subject in order to effectively support students' successful academic journey.

I worked with one of her masters students to setup and measure soil aggregate stability of biosol-treated soil samples and a control sample using a vintage, vertically-oscillating, automatic sieve-shaker control. This experiment was part of the masters student's thesis.
