With a formal education in Mass Communication, I got exposed to the rudimentary elements of media practices and the career choices available therein.Having gone through basic training in journalism, radio and television production, and editing, I set up an owned and now registered media company; Focuslenx Media Home, before I graduated. At Focuslenx, I have led, managed and worked with clients to deliver all audio-visual content: photography, cinematography, and other ancillary services including but not limited to editing, shoot planning and strategy, amongst others. So far, the consulting agency has worked with tonnes of individuals as well as corporate bodies on documentary projects. This has put the company on the trust list of The Nigerian Institution of Environmental Engineers (NIEE) Lagos State as an official media partner for 2 years, The Celebrity International from 2022 till date. Away from my entrepreneurship journey, by joining the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Agency, I have for the past three years upped my administrative skills, and developed a deeper understanding of media management within the public sector, video shooting and editing, and cross-functional teamwork as well as a financial planning and project management skills. I equally improved my skill-sets on Microsoft Suites packages (excel, PowerPoint, etc). With my biggest ambition being a creative director, I equally worked with CFTV, a faith-based media outfit in Lagos, and I have scaled my knowledge of camera angles, lighting, the right choice of lens for production as well as proficiency in editing and directing. As a team member within the Media team, I supported the TV content by adding more informative and educational programmes to the timeline and also assisted with the play-box programme update. Knowing that service to others is the price I have to pay for my existence, I established an NGO: Michael Ojuroye Initiative (MOI) which aim is to sensitize government primary school pupils against social vices as well as encourage scholarship. We have been able to facilitate scholarships for over 1000 indigent students and also gave out stationeries to over 10,000. Our goal is to improve access to education and improve the livelihood of those living in slums across Nigeria.In summary, I've got a proficient doing the list below;Cybersecurity Analyst, Creative Editor, General knowledge of handling different cameras, Data Analyst, Risk Management, Photography, Cinematography, Adobe Suits, etc.
