RRT is Washington DC's premier BMW service and performance facility. In my current position, I oversee 12 direct employees & all subcontractors utilized by the company. My daily operations include directing work flow for all current orders, overseeing product and material acquisition, utilizing quality control techniques to maintain both company standards and to be able to deliver work consistent with the work requested by our clients. I also personally oversee all long term custom projects in full. This consists of meeting with clients to discuss their goals, developing a realistic and achievable plan, budget development, research and acquisition of the needed materials and parts, conveying to the technicians these items and then overseeing and controlling work flow during the build and keeping the build on schedule and budget. Constant communication with both on and off site clients and with those employees and subcontractors inside our facility is crucial to completing these projects successfully. I also tend to be the facility's problem solver. When unusual or difficult problems arise, I develop a solution to keep the work on track so that a proper completed project can be completed on time. As a manager I have the authority to do what is needed to solve any problem and the owners of the company have entrusted me with all marketing duties, media development, B2B relations and new vendor negotiations. At the end of each pay period I compile payroll and reconcile hours for all employees. During my tenure here, I have developed and implemented a new electronics presence. This consisted of designing and maintaining a new website, organizing and controlling news, video and social media sites, and creating effective lines of communications with both old and new customers over the internet and other media helping RRT to truly become a 21st century organization.

This reduces the stress on the vehicle owner, provides a consistent contact and source of information for sponsors, and allows bundling of resources on the backend to help in the reduction of costs and time involved for racers and crew.

Dew Motorcars is a worldwide leader in the restoration of pre-war American and vintage European vehicles. Ferrari, Jaguar, Aston Martin and Lamborghini are among the marques that we specialized in. I researched and located the parts needed to complete our work, maintained billing and profitability standards, controlled shipping and receiving, and advised senior leadership to current trends while providing solutions to potential problems.• I controlled the flow of all product and materials in and out of the facility and utilized all available methods of cost reduction to raise profitability.• Most needed parts hadn’t been produced in over 50 years and locating these items required contact with parties all over the world. Often difficult, the “hunt” for these rare parts was very rewarding when accomplished.• I developed a precise item tracking & distribution system that helped to create an environment where the shop can focus on rebuilding works of art instead of focusing on the procedural problems that plagued the company before my arrival. • I maintained current billing and invoicing for over 100 clients a month. The accuracy of my work directly increased the income of my company, while the ability to do it quickly, without error is something I took pride in.

As the Store Manager, I was to ensure that the customer was given the guidance they needed to make an informed decision, and then guarantee that the work they had chosen to perform with us was done exceptionally well, on schedule and on budget. I organized regular meetings between employees, upper management and other locations, to ensure that everyone is kept up to date with current projects, products and directives as well as provide opportunities for training and continuing education. • Negotiated with vendors and manufacturers to slash costs so that profitability could be increased while providing a savings for our clients at the same time.• Met with local businesses regularly to promote our services and to build rapport with their management, developing long term relationships.• Partnered with national organizations, such as SEMA, to be able to provide the latest and best products to our clients as well as keeping the company relevant in a turbulent market• Bid on projects & managed to conclusion international orders and contracts from the Department of Defense, Fairfax Count Police and the United States Army.

In my sales position here, I interacted with both customers and local business to fulfill their orders quickly and efficiently. Working in a machine shop is a very technical environment, and I had to quickly learn many new things relating to engine and transmission design and modification. This position allowed me to explore a deeper understanding of how high performance machines worked. I felt fortunate that the owner and manager took the time to properly train me so that I not only understood what worked, but why it worked. Because of that I can take the knowledge I gained here and apply it to current challenges I face on a daily basis.
