My responsibilities include managing an elite sales force to acquire new business and build service platforms to fulfill the company's vision and goals. Additional responsibilities include negotiations of contract terms, fee structure and partner relations to increase plan membership offering our partners competitive fees and to be a part of the North Shore-LIJ Health System brand. New York State Licenses North Shore-LIJ Insurance Company Inc. as Health InsurerNorth Shore-LIJ CareConnect insurance plan - available Oct. 1 in NY metro area New York State Department of Financial Services approved North Shore-LIJ Insurance Company Inc.’s application for an insurance license. This marks one of the 1st times in state history a major health system has created a controlled insurance co. to sell commercial health insurance to individuals, families & employers North Shore-LIJ Insurance Company Inc. will begin marketing commercial insurance plans on & off NY Health Benefit Exchange to individuals & families (Long Island, Queens, Staten Island & Manhattan) under brand name “North Shore-LIJ CareConnect” North Shore-LIJ CareConnect members will experience the benefits of NY’s largest integrated health system, known for high quality care, accessibility, wide range of programs & services across the metropolitan area with direct access to• inpatient care provided-16 hospitals• outpatient & specialty care (nearly 400 physician & ambulatory practices)• after-care services-home care/rehabilitation &thousands of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners & other caregivers
