I have 30 years of software deveopment experience and a Masters degree in Software Engineering and a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. I have held roles ranging from an industrial automation and controls engineer, building desktop business applications and Managed and Supervised the development teams.For 15 years I have worked on industrial machinery and developed the controls and software to make them run and integrate with existing equipment. During this time I have used 8086 Assembly on an STD card rack to implement the controls. I have also used a proprietary programming language on an off the shelf motion controller. Also, I have written the control program in the Beckhoff Twin-Cat EtherCat system.I have written a low-cost HMI to interface with a new electronic control scheme. I have also written C++ Active X components to be embedded in Wonderware screens.I have written an C# program to take an export from a SQL server database and build customer documents using the Adobe Document Builder services.I have written Linux Shell Scripts to monitor automated processes and notify support staff when an error is detected.
