I have worked in the Information Technology field since the mid-1990s. I have a BSEE degree from Southern California Institute of Technology; when an A+ certification involved frequencies, voltage and current requirements for daughter boards, external ports/buses to the component level. I interned at Caltrans’ department of New Technology and Research where my responsibilities included training users on Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office.I worked for a telecommunication company, providing support for Voicemail servers, Fax servers, Outlook servers, etc. My duties included building these servers from scratch, support the LAN and provide phone support for our staff and customers. In 2003 I became a stay-at-home parent for our youngest child, whom was diagnosed with Autism/Asperger syndrom, to help him succeed in mainstream elementary school. During this time, I managed a SOHO for my wife’s Nurse Case Management business. My duties included running the back office. Contact patient physicians for work status reports and next office visits for my wife. She, in turn, would write reports for each patient’s insurance carrier as part of the workers compensation benefits. I then worked for Western Digital. My duties included Level 2 technical customer support. Used “GoToAssist” to remotely access customer’s computer(s) to resolve their issues. I took on processing customer refunds. I wrote the protocols for replies to customer product reviews. I wrote HTML/CSS for knowledge base articles.I am a self-starter, but also a team player. I believe my skills and assets that I bring to the table helps the team as a whole. I would appreciate the opportunity to bring my experience and work ethic to this new career path.
