As a Research & Development Senior Program Manager, Mike reports to the Applied Research Director of Sensor Systems. He is responsible for the identification, pursuit, and capture of Cooperative Research and Development opportunities.Mike has successfully led large, geographically distributed programs and developed capable teams. His demonstrated knowledge includes customer relations, proposal development (technical, cost, & schedule), subcontractor management, system conceptualization, analysis, requirements development, risk mitigation, and system implementation, with specific domain experience in intelligent automation architectures and command, control, communications, computers, information, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems.As a respected engineer and program manager, Mike has contributed to the aerospace industry in key roles for more than 27 years, including Program Development Engineer at General Electric; Systems Architecture Manager at Martin Marietta; Automation Project Engineer, Program Manager, and Senior PM at Lockheed Martin. His professional awards include a Department Management, Two President, and two “Team of the Year.”He is a low key, confident, and "in charge" leader.Mike is a consummate dreamer and reads extensively. He enjoys the experience of four-dimensional storytelling seeking the blending of a great story with supporting characters, architecture, and music while the advanced technology remains just out of sight.
