We see two frontiers in adult education: The first is efficacy. It is clear that there is a great deal of room for improving the way people learn, both in educational settings, but also on their own. Our computer-based instruction is forging new ground in this area. In the context of basic skills instruction (math, science, communication, social studies), we teach adult learners how to reason better, make more informed decisions, and find pathways to success in their lives. We do this by applying cutting-edge technology tools and cognitive research to the task of learning. The second frontier in education is about completion and success. It is not enough to just deliver effective learning materials, they have to motivate and drive the student to completion and achievement of their goals. Retention is one of the inherent weaknesses of online learning. Finding ways to move the student to the finish line is clearly one of the most important frontiers in building effective digital learning technology. We believe that education is the most exciting opportunity for innovation today and are looking for bright, passionate, and driven people to be a part of it.
