Director Of Sales & MarketingDesert Willow Golf Resort Dec 2002 - Aug 2008Palm Desert, California, UsAs the Director of Sales & Marketing I was able to accomplish many goals and set standards which are still in place to this day. By advancing a revenue budget of just under $6 million when I took over the position and growing the annual revenues to almost $12 million our management company, KemperSports, were able to show our owners at the city of Palm Desert that this facility can be self sustaining without using tax payer dollars.Areas of focus were increasing the average daily green fees for all seasons, creating of loyalty programs such as the Platinum Card and Summer VIP Card both are still the main loyalty programs today. In addition, we were able to create weekly F&B events to drive loyalty and revenue during off-peak times. However, the main factor was working with local hotels & resorts to be partners of our free standing facility. With no rooms on property we had to be very creative in generating revenue and rounds from support of the area properties.This was a team effort comprised of our GM, F&B Director, Head Pro and Superintendent. Without quality personnel in each of these areas I could not have been successful. -
