I am currently offering my services as an Independent Project Management/Organizational Development Expert consulting on; Organizational Assessment & Strategic management, Institutional Capacity Development for small and medium NGOs. I also offer consultancy services on Research, Advocacy and Policy Development, Project Audits and monitoring and evaluation.

At PAWA254 I head the Programs Department where I am responsible for the supervision of all program staff, building their capacity through mentorship and conducting performance appraisals. I am also responsible for overall program design, overseeing implementation of all PAWA 254 programs and mainstreaming of monitoring and evaluation in all projects under the Programs Department as well as in other departments.As head of Programs I am responsible for nurturing and maintaining donor relations which I manage through constant communication with donors on key aspects of project implementation, ensuring donor visibility, and timely reporting of progress implementation via project progress reports.As head of programs I am key in establishing and maintaining key partnerships with various stakeholders including our funding partners, both national and county governments, other civil society organizations working in our sector and project beneficiaries.I am instrumental in resource mobilization for the organization and is instrumental in attracting new donors to the organization through compiling of high quality proposals and also strengthening PAWA's sustainability efforts through mobilizing funds to shore up internal revenue streams of the organization.I represent PAWA 254 in various meetings, forums and sector round table meetings where I articulate and present interests of the organization in a bid to position PAWA 254 as a thought leader in our sector.

As the Mission Development Coordinator of the SGS ECAP I was responsible for the following;Partnership & CollaborationsI spearheaded the congregation’s networks and collaborations with key stakeholders like the Bishops Caucus (KCCB), Government departments like the Judiciary, Ministry of Health, Education and the County Council of Nairobi, Meru, Transzoia, Mombasa and others where the congregation’s projects were situated.Resource MobilizationI was in charge of the ECAP Province resource mobilization team, developing concepts and proposals for submission to our donor partners. I also represented the congregation in donor meetings. I also was responsible for building the capacity of the various project directors in resource mobilization.Capacity BuildingI was responsible for identifying training needs and gaps among the various projects under GSS ECAP and developing relevant trainings and a training development plan to address these gaps and shortcomings.AdvocacyI spearheaded the congregation’s advocacy efforts and represented the congregation in various meetings aimed at addressing the challenges faced by the congregation and the sector.Organization DevelopmentI was responsible for conducting capacity assessments in the projects under ECAP and designing organizational development solutions to the capacity gaps identified. I was particularly responsible for developing policies and facilitating strategic plans for all the projects under GSS ECAP. At my time of leaving the congregation had developed and approved HR Policy, Finance Policy, Child Safeguarding Policy and facilitated 8 strategic plans.Mainstreaming Monitoring & EvaluationI was in charge of monitoring and evaluating of all the GSS ECAP projects and designing plans to address the issues raised in the M & E reports. I was also in charge of developing monitoring and evaluation tools and systems for adoption by the project directors.

This was a senior role where my main role was assessing concepts and proposals for consideration of funding by our donors as well as building the capacity of funded partners to deliver on their roles.Project Visits/AssessmentsI led the organization project assessment where we conducted physical visits to potential partners assessing their capacity to handle the grants so requested and after the visit I prepared a report that advised whether to allow the partner to submit a proposal or not.Proposal AssessmentsI reviewed various proposals for consideration of funding using a matrix developed by DKA & eRko Support Office and approved some and rejected some depending on their matrix scores.Capacity BuildingI conducted capacity needs assessments of all funded partners and fashioned out specific capacity building trainings for some organizations and also organized joint capacity building trainings for issues/capacity gaps that were shared across all the parners.Organizational DevelopmentI helped all the funded partners to work on their individual policies as per their sector and also helped facilitate strategic plans and business plans for the partners.Knowledge ManagementI worked with the directors of the funded projects to develop learning systems where all partners could learn from each other through online sharing of best practices and also organizing exchange visits hosted by different partners for shared learning
