Technical lead on a project to design and launch a platform for the purification of distillery wastes in tequila and mezcal industries. Primary focus on research into biological remediation of high-strength wastewater using locally available resources and low-maintenance technology to meet NOM-01 standards for water quality, design of a pilot plant, and creation of norms for design of further treatment plants.In addition to his work in the wastewater industry, Mr. Kelley also taught workshops on aquaponics, designed and constructed a greenhouse-level aquaponics system, worked as a consultant with local farmers on production improvements, and managed a reforestation project for the Polytechnic University of Pachuca that planted over 4200 native agave plants.

The Training Design and Evaluation Specialist is charged with the management & development of training calendars and curriculum. Responsibilities include creation of schedules for events ranging from 2 days to three months in duration. In addition to the training calendars, Mr. Kelley created and maintained trainee assessment portfolios, which track individual volunteer performance against the Global Learning Standards provided by Peace Corps. He worked to help create a tool to evaluate volunteers during their entire 27 month training continuum to Kirkpatrick level 3 standards.Mr. Kelley also provided technical guidance on the planning, creation, and maintenance of agriculture and agroforestry demonstrations at the Thies Training Center. He conducted tree risk assessments for the Center, and conducted the environmental impact assessment for their 2016 construction program.

Project Coordinator for the TRAction (Translating Research in Action) Project at University Research Co., LLC. Mr. Kelley's portfolio includes the Respectful Maternal Care, Recognition of Maternal and Newborn Complications, and Performance Based Incentives for Public Health projects, as well as the TRAction project in Bangladesh. He was responsible for creation of financial tracking tools, validation of cost sharing, and periodic field visits to project offices in Bangladesh.

Mr. Kelley co-managed an 86 acre certified family forest in accordance with an approved forest management plan. Activities included in this work included:• Selection of trees for harvest and maintenance of healthy timber stands,• Seeding of target species for stand replenishment, • Protection of developing timber stands,• Operation of heavy equipment for timber processing and invasive species control,• Conduct of preliminary grading of timber for pre-dry sorting,• Identification and removal of invasive species from timber stands.
