Under the supervision of Dr. Ernesto Cuauhtémoc Sánchez Rodríguez at the Dr. Agustín O’Horán General Hospital, I plan to study the antiviral effects of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) on HIV reservoirs in humans to gauge the viability of utilizing hyperbaric medicine as an adjunct or primary HIV therapy.
