Clinical anaesthesiologist with focus on emergency medicine, airway management, regional anaesthesia, simulation, and non-technical skills/ CRM.Most interesting stages of my life were paramedic training, studies (medicine) at University of Heidelberg, a wonderful mix of clinical work/ research/ teaching at Dresden University Hospital, outstanding experience in the Harvard Macy Programme for Physician Educators, an extremely interesting time during the Master of Medical Education courses in Heidelberg, and the perfect job in Freiburg I started in 2015.In the past couple years my research focus is the field of community first responder systems, smartphone alerting systems, and AED networks. Having worked in prehospital emergency medicine as a paramedic and as a physician for over 30 years I recognize SAS as a simple solution for a complex problem. Saving lives is such a strong motivation!
