Much of my practice is devoted to Trusts and Estates litigation in the Surrogate's Court. I am also an Adjunct Professor of Law, teaching courses in the Tax LL.M. program at New York Law School in "Trusts and Estates Litigation" and "Basic Concepts of Federal Estate and Gift Taxation." I consider myself skilled in litigation, mediation, public speaking, and trials. I am also experienced in management, training, education, and leadership, retiring as a JAGC Colonel, activated with the US Army National Guard during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm and commanding the State-wide legal and family assistance program (consisting of approximately fifty uniformed and civilian volunteer attorneys) for the mobilized troops. I was awarded New York's Military Commendation Medal. I received a BA from the University of Notre Dame and a JD from Fordham University School of Law. I am a voracious reader (history, literature, poetry) with a great devotion to Shakespeare and Dickens.I am also an avid tennis player, hiker, birder, skeet and trap shooter, traveler, and lover of music in almost all its forms, including European Classical, American Classical [i.e., all types of Jazz, from big band Swing to bebop to fusion to free], Opera, old time country and bluegrass, soul and Motown, Irish, and Mexican regional. And let’s not forget all Notre Dame athletics.Last, but by no means least, I am the proud father of two fine and accomplished sons and one grandson. I have been married for forty+ years to one of the most amazing people I know, Linda. She is an attorney and an academic and retired as the Assistant Dean at the St. John's School of Law.
