As the first employee at Beam, my early days were focused on target identification and setting up labs. More recently, I have been working in the liver therapeutics team leading efforts on one of our rare disease indications. I am using a variety of skills ranging from directed evolution to cell biology in order to help bring base editing technology to patients.

As a graduate student in David R. Liu's group, I worked on applying PACE* to the directed evolution of proteases with altered substrate specificities.*Phage Assisted Continuous Evolution

Physics tutor during Harvard Summer School for high school students and undergraduates.

Worked as an undergraduate researcher in Ruth N. Collin's Laboratory within the Department of Molecular Medicine. Studied S. cervisiae proteins (Sec2, Sec4, and Ypt32) and their involvement in the secretory pathway.

Tutored for undergraduate calculus in spring 2010 and undergraduate physics courses Fall 2010 to Spring 2012.

Helped execute plant root buckling experiments by preparing gels, planting seeds, taking 3D images, and processing data.
