Serving as the day shift technical resource for ceramic fiber processing equipment that includes vacuum systems, liquid and gas delivery processing equipment, and system automation.• Responsible for leading initiatives to ensure safe, quality, and improve the manufacturing operations in the cell.Analyze and present data daily for production batches for quality assurance and compliance.• Supported next generation ceramic fiber processing equipment install and commissioning efforts.• Lead RCA efforts and interact with other areas of the manufacturing team in an effort to eliminate human error and improve the overall robustness of the manufacturing processes.• Lead an effort during a down period in production to reduce the amount of WIP tapes for the downstream processes. Develop stable molding processes for automotive tier 1 manufacturers, and validate processes every 3 months.Handled Subaru quality complaints in house, define root cause, and establish permanent countermeasures to ensure issues do not arise again.Worked and managed in house sort companies on sorting activities, and collaborating together to put countermeasures into place to close the sorts.Provided production support on new launch activities in house to ensure proper process and quality standards are held.

♣ Develop and establish mixing specifications for plant wide butyl and tread rubbers.♣ Organize activities for reducing scrap and nonconformities for Inner Liner and Tread processes.♣ Quality liaison for TQC Sub-compound team, in charge of organizing guidelines and work instructions for new business automotive audits.♣ Collaborate with production area managers to write standard operating procedures and quality guidelines for area processes.

 Develop and establish stable automotive industry molding processes, attending out-of-the-factory tool trials to accompany processes. Organize injection mold process books for each new launch tool that supplements new and existing tools. Attend all injection molding corporate best practice events to establish new methodologies to incorporate into the company globally.  Develop and organize new data tracking sheets for all current and future tools, including when they run and the yield per run, to increase tool monitoring efficiency.

 Tracked freshman students’ grades and attendance with strict attention to detail and ensuring 100% accuracy. Planned and organized activities for students to become engaged in class participation. Conducted labs to introduce students to the field of chemical engineering.

 Provided production support during each monthly scheduled production maintenance outage. Directed daily consistency testing, with the results used for re-calibration of critical area consistency instrumentation.  Validated mill-wide fiber loss to sewers with localized flow and consistency measurements.  Collaborated with production operators to write standard operating procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Traced the water system, drew a process flow diagram, and performed a mass balance on flows, consistencies, and tons per day to optimize the system and prevent fiber loss. Provided process support for capital project designed to increase stock production by eliminating waste back feeding into dilution tank which in turn saved over $250000/yr.
