During my tenure at the Amador County Sheriff's Oféce, I worked in all facets of basic patrol, including death investigations, traféc, identity theft, larceny and violent crime. In that capacity, I worked as a eld training ofécer, SWAT Team operator, SWAT Team assistant team leader and Narcotics Task Force Agent assigned to a Department of Justice, multi-agency Task Force. As a Narcotics Agent, I was tasked with performing complex investigations involving criminal organizations, preparing search warrants, executing search warrants, preparing crime reports and testifying in court. I was also responsible for identifying assets and seizing those assets in accordance with the law. As a mid-level manager, I directly supervised a patrol team, assisted with the selection of new hires and worked as a training coordinator. I was later assigned as Commander of a multi-agency Narcotics Task Force. In that capacity, I was responsible for the day to day operations of the unit, to include mission planning, reporting statistical data to the California Department of Justice, approval of all search warrants, grant preparation and administration and targeted enforcement operations. I was also responsible for equipment acquisitions, scheduling, stafféng, report approval, court room testimony and asset forfeiture. I was also assigned as the SWAT Team Leader. As SWAT Team Leader, I was responsible for team training, pre-raid threat assessments, mission planning and coordination of high risk search warrants, post mission reporting and court room testimony. Additionally, I performed the duties of Range Master, Dive/Swift Water Rescue Technician, Less Lethal Instructor, Chemical Agents Instructor and Tactical Medic. I am an ALICE certificated, active shooter survival and response instructor. In that capacity, I have provided active shooter response training to hundreds of law enforcement professionals, civilians, K through 12 students and private organizations.
