I am a mechanical engineering student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), expected to graduate in Dec 2024. I currently work for the Town of Hempstead as an Engineer I. My responsibilities include land surveying, AutoCAD, and drainage system design. With expertise in several software programs such as Revit, SolidWorks, and MATLAB; I utilize the up-to-date resources to increase efficiency in my current position.Also, I have strong power skills as proven from the variety of extracurricular, organizations, and campaigns I have contributed towards. Some of these include but are not limited to; debate clubs, model rocketry, political campaigns, Civil Air Patrol as a senior member, and managing social media for local businesses. I firmly believe in the power of a network. I look forward to making new connections and growing my current relationships. I couple strong technical skills with interpersonal relationship ambitions. My responsibilities include land surveying, design of drainage systems, CAD drawings, and inspections of work on site. My technical skills such as software programming shines through in the drainage systems. Bulkhead designs need to fit into strict regulations and my work plays a key part in providing the subcontractors proper specs. When inspecting jobs being completed on site, I help communicate big picture and detailed improvements to the subcontractors who are completing the job. Apart from this, I survey roads to see if the elevations match up with code and which areas need to be redone or paved over.
