Job Purpose Summary:Join the Glasgow Oncology Clinical Trials Unit's IT team to develop, enhance, and support database-based IT systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary users to ensure the smooth operation of clinical trial databases in compliance with regulations such as the EU Clinical Trial Directive and Good Clinical Practice.Key Responsibilities:Gained familiarity with CTU systems, study protocols, and regulatory requirements. Contributing to the creation and maintenance of electronic data capture (EDC) systems for clinical trials. Using tools like APIs, batch files, scripting, and SQL to manage and maintain study databases. Reviewing and ensuring accuracy in trial specifications and data management plans. Working with various stakeholders to design applications for efficient data collection and implement checks to ensure data accuracy. Developing user guides and provide technical support to CTU staff which is a combination of Glasgow University and NHS Clyde and Greater Glasgow.Address IT issues, suggest system improvements, and contribute to team discussions and broader institutional activities.
