This is some of what I do at work:1. Assist customers by taking them to the precise location of their interest, or drawing a map to that product.2. Ringing up sales and performing other tasks on he register such as returns and Western Union transfers. rain checks, etc.3. Check for outdated/expired products.4. Keep shelves conditioned, filled, faced, etc. with products.5. Maintain and pull replenish carts, and stockroom shelves.6. Assist in training new workers.7. Using hand-held electronic device (Zebra) track FedEx inventory, release it and accept it; check in milk order, print Mylar price tags, scan empty shelf sections for future orders, locate product placement while putting up stock.8. Maintain photo department, changing out photo paper and printing ribbon for 6'' and 8" wide paper rolls,burning discs, sorting pictures and job orders.9. Using the helium tank, blow up balloons.10. Cleaning --sometimes extensive and deep-- of bathrooms, floors , trash, etc.11. Compact cardboard in compactor and form bales using long wires.12. Train for new challenges with PPL in-store educational system

At McCracken Label my primary responsibility was (A) To check all newly manufactured printed and non-printed materials for irregularities, inconsistencies, defects, incorrect information and such against the previous sample, the artist’s proof, and the job order itself. Awareness had to be paid to (1) color with the PMS color book as a reference, (2) the die-form –where pressure-sensitive backed adhesive material and bond paper tear off (cuts and perforations based on the line drawing on an acetate overlay that reveals inconsistencies) (3) misspellings or incorrect or old phone numbers and addresses and other critical pieces of information,(5) length of the piece, (6)printing registration, (7) color density, (8)overall look, and (9) post production handling of the material such as correct shipping box labels, pre-boxing shrink wrap treatment, special requests, etc. (B) Other responsibilities included (when needed) substituting for absent pressmen’s helper in order for that press to pack up a job (C) moved pallets over to the shipping department, (D) moved dumpsters over to the trash compactor (E ) assisted supervisor with e-mail communications, (F) gathered and mixed inks, and (G) occasionally made printing plates.

I work at Meijers. I work extensively behind the scenes in the prepared foods section maintaining equipment.

Set up web, ink and die for Webtron, Mark Andy, and Propheteer presses. Made and mounted plates, learned and followed safety regimen, Packed and moved finished and unfinished stock. Shrink wrapped pallets with finished products.

Substitute teaching.

Put up and took down displays--sold food, etc.

I operated a Tirak motorized hoist with a wire rope, snapped lines plumb lines, mixed paints, applied paint, and added solvents as needed.
