Advise and manage all technology needs for a national research institute, including but not restricted to the design, implementation, integration, securing, troubleshooting, upgrading, and maintenance of: a growing network of Linux, Windows, and OSX environments, integrating with various LAN and WAN networks; various solutions including but not restricted to databases, data storage and backup, all user services (LDAP, SMTP, IMAP, HTTP(S), etc), groupware, remote access, telepresence, remote collaboration, and other services; audio and video needs, equipment, and services; coordinate, advise, manage, prioritize and delegate tasks to IT staff; provide advice, assistance, and training to faculty, staff, and visitors

Design, implement, maintain, and expand growing network of UNIX and Windows environments, integrating with various LAN and WAN networks and Solaris, Linux, and Windows operating systems; install, upgrade, and troubleshoot both computer and networking hardware and software; design and implement C++ database; provide technical advice and assistance

Maintain and expand a growing UNIX network; install, upgrade, and maintain UNIX workstations utilizing PC’s and SPARC’s with Solaris and Linux operating systems; install, maintain, and troubleshoot UNIX hardware and software, provide technical assistance
