I am Head of the Savills multi-discipline Office in Truro providing estate agency, rural management, farm agency, professional services, valuation, building surveying and architectural services. I am the Director in charge of the Cornwall Rural, Energy & Projects team advising a range of clients throughout the wider South West, specialising in all aspects of rural property to include estate management, valuation, tax planning, Landlord & Tenant, environmental schemes and development.Joining Savills in 2003 (Exeter) and moving to the Truro office in 2011, I head the estate management team for Savills in the wider South West Region. As the lead agent for a number of rural estates and property portfolios in the South West, responsible to Trustees, Directors and owners, the position involves strategic reviews and the implementation of long term plans. Assets managed include farms, houses, commercial premises, areas of environmental importance, natural capital, development, waste/infill facilities, recycling and gas power plants.In this role I am heavily involved in all aspects of tax planning and valuation with a specialism in Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax relating to the ownership of property assets. Trained as an Expert Witness, I provide technical valuation and expert witness reports for a wide range of use throughout Cornwall and the South West. I am Company Secretary and a Director of my family farming business in Cornwall, where I enjoy driving a quad bike and training my dogs.
