With more than 30 years experience across the construction industry I bring pragmatic ideas and solutions to a broad range of sectors both as a project and a commercial manager.As an experienced commercial, project and programme manager operating at director level, with a background in service management, surveying, procurement and capital projects. I have a strong understanding of lifecycle asset management strategy and its effective implementation.I started my career with Wimpey working on a number of project and cost management roles in the UK, Portugal and Macau. I spent three years working at Whitbread where I was responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of 600 properties in the south east to deliver a £20m annual expenditure.I was lead cost manager for the T5 Terminal Building at Heathrow, being promoted to Associate Director. Coordinating value and risk management, delivering £70m project-based savings in two years, addressing both capital costs and whole lifecycle savings.I was an Associate Director of Cyril Sweett in the PFI and Procure21 team, advising on massive government deals and, as part of both client and contractor teams, gaining valuable insight into best practice for lifecycle cost management and lifecycle replacement management.In 2005, I set up MFProjects Ltd and for 10 years delivered a range of QS and PM roles for major health sector clients.In November 2015 I joined Gleeds managing the design and delivery of projects in the health sector: where I am now a senior director leading our £10m turnover business in South America. Since joining Gleeds I have been part of multiple large projects, managed a team of 10 PM’s, led multi-disciplinary teams of 50+ and was the commercial lead role on our #UKDT JV for the Peruvian government.Subsequently lead the team winning two new major programmes including the £1bn Bicentennial Schools and the £0.5bn Complex Hospitals. From a standing start I now head a team of over 60 people delivering billons of pounds of investment and returning double digit profit in a challenging market place. As Americas Infrastructure Lead I am currently additionally responsible for a new project in the Caribbean (Tobago Airport) and continue to support the growth of our business across the Americas and the Caribbean. I am the co-owner of Yogawest (my lovely wife carries the load) & co-run the What’s Your Game event: part of my portfolio life.
