I am currently working in the large bore diesel engine group. Responsibilities are creating casting and machining models of numerous components. I am also the casting Subject Matter Expert for the group. This made the primary contact for casting questions and I also have to check all the models to ensure that there were no issues like die lock or thin walls.

Senior Designer in the Lube & Vent Group. Designed cast oil filter adapters, cast oil pans and cam covers

responsibities included the design and development of new diesel cylinder heads, from gen-I through pre-production. Oversaw a team of four to six people to ensure that all the cores were modeled using the proper technique and had proper clearance to surrounding components. Worked closely with analysis groups to implement running changes. When the design and analysis was completed, I took the lead in the checking of full 2D cast and machining drawings.I also worked closely with the foundry in bi-monthly meetings to ensure timing and content were met.

Responsibilities included Design of cylinder head and all cores complete with draft. Also completed details of machined head, with all datum’s and GD&T.

Responsibilities included design through detail of steel/aluminum castings and fabricated components for diesel engines including blocks, heads, cams, oil pans, connecting rods, gear case housings, and other brackets. Specific skills encompass the following: Unigraphics through V18.0; iMAN; excellent detail-oriented skills and problem solving through logical and methodical analyzation; proficient with GD & T and tolerance stack-ups; Interface directly with engineering to satisfy fluctuating requirements; and readily available for assignments in an atmosphere under pressure. Also system administration on HP-UX UNIX workstations and served as lead internal auditor.
