About Michael Pepple
As the Deputy Head of Mission for Programs at Première Urgence Internationale (PUI), I lead the overall Program Department of PUI's mission in Afghanistan, coordinating the tactical and strategic programming of the mission, ensuring the implementation of high-quality programs and helping in strengthening PUI's mission development. I have over 8 years of experience in humanitarian program management, with a core competence in water and sanitation engineering in emergencies.In my previous roles, I have led diverse teams of WASH, shelter, food security and livelihood colleagues, responding to the severe humanitarian needs of conflict-affected populations in Syria, South Sudan and Nigeria managing over 30M of funding across multiple donors. I have also developed and implemented different humanitarian projects, applying quality control, Protection and gender lenses, MEAL, Climate and conflict sensitivity and grant management skills. I am passionate about delivering life-saving humanitarian assistance to vulnerable populations, while fostering solid relationships with stakeholders and propelling staff development.
