Development of flight control laws for Navy Unmanned Combat Air System (UCAS). Development and maintenance of dynamic aircraft models and performance of linear analysis and performance analysis using these models.

Performed test planning and test execution for developmental test on an unmanned platform. As lead FTE of surrogate aircraft, coordinated and reported on status and test schedule of the surrogate aircraft as well as de-conflicted surrogate actives from primary unmanned aircraft test schedule. Conducted static System Checkouts, Flight Tests and Ground Tests from both a ground based mission control center with a team of 20+ subject matter experts and from airborne engineering workstations with one to five subject matter experts. Planned and executed three month offsite testing of a surrogate aircraft proving the capability of autonomous aerial refueling. Optimized tests planned to maximize efficiency and reduce total number of test events required to complete capability demonstrations. Filled the role of local Mission Training Simulator Expert as well as planned and oversaw several mission training events. Trained new simulation operators for shore based and carrier based simulation events. Coordinated range resources with Air Force base and Naval Air Station agencies.

Worked with engineering team on aerodynamic design of a new refueling drogue. Traveled with team and participated in wind tunnel testing of the system. Gained some familiarity with Unigraphics (NX) and helped to reorganize electronics positioning within the refueling drogue.

Created and performed interface test procedures (ITPs) for flight control electronics and flight management systems verification. Coordinated meetings between Flight Controls and Flight Management Systems engineering groups to resolve issues.
