Assisted Professor Jennifer Marlow J.D. and her graduate student, Alec Brown, in creating a site description for the Humboldt Bay Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) in Humboldt Bay, CA meant for future scenario planning workshops with locally affected and/or potentially affected parties. Assisted with interviewing local experts and community members about topics regarding the vulnerability and/or safety of the site and future directions for acquiring valuable local knowledge. Visited the ISFSI vicinity multiple times and met with local experts to dive deeper into the site characterization and develop domain knowledge. Other activities that were completed as a student trainee included time management, spreadsheet organizations, participating in professional development opportunities, and contributing to a shared Google drive used to inform the research team.
