So, after a year-and-a-half, moving back from controls to the extruder side of things......US Extruders is a new extruder manufacturer, and I'm proud to be working with a team of extruder experts with over 200 years of experience in the industry, including Bill Kramer, Dan Schilke, Kevin Slusarz, Doug Johnson, and Jeff Lawton, many of whom I've worked with for over 25 years!Our focus is going to be top-notch customer service, with an emphasis on building what our customers want. We won’t be trying to force you into a box that you don’t fit in. And because we are employee owned, we don’t answer to “Corporate”, we answer to our customers, which allows us the flexibility to design and build what you want, when you want it, with you in the driver’s seat during the process.In that vein, my title is Supply Chain Manager, but as I have done at most of my places of employment in the past, I will be wearing a couple different hats. Yes, I'll be handling all the purchasing, but I'll also be using my past experience in Inside Sales to work with our Sales Agent, Doug Johnson, to expedite quoting and order entry to ensure a quick, accurate process for our customers, with the ability to interface between customers, Sales, and Manufacturing.I'm excited about the prospects of what the future will bring. Started my career in the Extruder controls arena at HES/Davis-Standard, so going back to my roots now that American Kuhne, Inc. no longer exists.Am currently filling duties of the Shipping/Receiving Department, including purchasing/managing our "stock" items. Have continued my interest in updating corporate infrastructure here at Prosystems by cleaning up several old forms and streamlining the way the current software package is used. Created an item-master with an eye toward upgrading to a higher-level software system in the near future.Have also been working closely with the Sales Manager to select a new CRM package, and have been updating/creating a new contact list within that CRM package based on some loosely organized past contact lists, verifying each company/contact via Google and LinkedIn to get us some better data and contact lead info for future sales efforts.Have also kept my Purchasing chops up-to-date by achieving some cost savings in several areas by working with suppliers/reps to leverage some quantity discounts based on usage.

Began as combination Buyer/Shipper-Receiver. As company grew, became Purchasing Manager, currently a 3 person department. Also spent 3 years in Inside Sales as Medical Extrusion Systems Coordinator, before moving back into Purchasing. Have spent a lot of time on "infrastructure" projects, including writing company work instructions, and managing the use of our business software, including a recent re-working of our commissions payment system.It was recently announced by the company's major shareholders, Graham Capital, that all production at this facility will cease in 1st Quarter 2016 and be moved to PA.I am currently reviewing employment options/opportunities.

Began in a consulting role to bring order to their contract employee home-work system, and was hired full time as Purchasing/Inventory Manager. Continued in that role until the company was purchased, and production was moved to TX.

Started as a buyer, and as the controls division grew, became Purchasing/Inventory Manager in a 5 person department.Worked with my manager (Dan Schilke) and our suppliers to, essentially, set the standards for many of the components that are still considered industry standard today for extruders. Also was able to leverage volume and combined brand-usage to achieve significant cost savings in my last several years at HES/Davis-Standard.
