Ad Server

• Designed and built ETL system for rapid log creation, formatting, transmission, and insertioninto Redshift database. Primary logging application is a multithreaded C program for log processing. Event data is available to end users with a maximum delay of 5 minutes.• Designed and built real-time data synchronization system for distributed adserver system in order to keep assorted nodes up-to-date on ad campaign and placement information – capping, pacing, etc.• Designed and built a redis module in C for ad serving application in order to reduce latency andincrease throughput. The module executes specific queries against a local redis store andhandles business logic (whitelists, blacklists, targeting rules, etc.). Module handles ~60k lookups per second.• Designed and built a reporting application with Django. The application’s responsibilities are twofold: aggregate data from third party servers and our own ad servers and generate payment andbilling information, and display our adservers’ traffic/transaction data for use by clients andteam members in an OLAP fashion.
