Manager/Function Owner:I own two functions that contain advanced projects on multiple products (NXE3600, NXE3800, NXE4000 EXE5000, EXE5200). These projects take hardware from white board all the way past customer delivery; I specialize in managing the product development and associated risks through this portion of the product lifecycle. I make sure that existing processes are followed to ensure "first time right" quality, and improve or develop my own processes when necessary to be successful. The trickiest part of my job is managing the tradeoff between timing and risk, as our company strategy is "first to market." I lead multiple stakeholders and team members to good decisions, and align them with upper management in parallel. I have redesigned the organization of our department (100+ people) to suit the SAFe/Agile development model.I own the product roadmap for two functions and the development of solutions to meet them, including developing and de-risking new technologies. These solutions contain mechanical, electrical, thermal, software, controls, and material competences in their designs; as the backstop to product function and quality I conduct the architecture, preliminary and critical design reviews while making sure the right technical stakeholders are present. One of my specialties is concept generation and selection - making sure design concepts are elegant and as simple as possible.I am an excellent team builder and creator of open, creative, and collaborative environments. I am the manager to project leads and architects, and provide role and career development and guidance. Dual role for two functions (droplet steering and droplet catching) of the ASML NXE3300+ EUV lightsource - Manager/Function Owner and Project Lead. (Droplets are high pressure molten tin, hit at high duty cycle with high power CO2 lasers to create EUV plasma.)Manager/Function Owner:-Manager to 11 architects, engineers, and technicians - Accountable for the hardware function, cost, and quality of droplet steering and droplet catching for all EUV product lines.-Responsible for roadmap of current and future product lines to meet system performance and availability goals.-Requested and acquire budget and resources for roadmap projects.-Proposed and define feasibility studies to ensure functional roadmap solutions are viable in advance.-Determined rollout strategy and schedule with supply chain and manufacturers.Project Lead:-Executed roadmap projects to budget and schedule through life cycle.-Conducted design reviews (PDR, CDR) and FMEAs during the design phase.-Negotiated project budget and resources with program.-Contained and solved functional hardware field issues related to performance or availability loss.-Interfaced with cross sectors (MDEV, EDEV, Software, Controls, Supply Chain, Manufacturing engineering, etc.) to ensure a successful product life cycle.-Traveled to Europe to interface with counterparts and manufacturer.Droplet Catching Functional Transfer.-Transferred ownership including the leadership, hardware, test equipment, and knowledge of a functional cluster from Netherlands to San Diego.-Owned creation of test labs for 8 testing bays including layout/facilities, procurement of all test benches, electronics, vacuum assemblies, etc., safety review, build up, commissioning, and operation.-Assembled a cross functional team in San Diego to transfer knowledge and leadership.-Developed a relationship with hardware manufacturers.-Took over hardware sustaining: all existing and future field issues.

Mechatronics architect for high powered CO2 seed laser system:-Specified laser alignment metrology and actuation solutions for the seed laser system-Wrote (system level) seed laser alignment design document-Worked with opto-mechanical engineer to create design of alignment mirrors (single micro-radian level repeatability)-Specified, designed, and conducted testing for alignment mirrors to verify they met architecture specifications-Conducted feasibility testing for alignment metrology with FLIR infrared cameras and nanowatt attenuation solution. Identified critical issues which were fixed by manufacturer, enabling this solution in final project.-Combined the two technologies and tested laser alignment feasibility which met architecture specifications and design requirements, working autonomously and finishing ahead of schedule.

In charge of IEC 61400-12 wind turbine power curve testing for Clipper Windpower, LLC, and power performance analysis. Leading contributor to power curve improvement endeavors. Project manager, and third party testing liason. In charge of corrosion testing for near-shore product configuration.

Main contributor to Viryd 8kW wind turbine system design. Designed initial rotor from DOE (NREL) analytical software. Designed and integrated multiple turbine tests stands and all associated instrumentation, data acquisition, and software (test stand control and simulation). Responsible for all field and bench testing of turbine. Developed wind turbine system level controls, component level controls, logic, fault diagnostics, and production software. Conducted wind tunnel testing at the University of Texas. Conducted all field testing, data collection, remote monitoring, and data reduction and analysis for 8kW turbine. Patent (pending) inventor of "Apparatus and system for testing wind turbines."
