Currently I am a Utility Forester for Davey Resource Group contracted to work for the PPL utility company. I oversee distribution circuits and their routine maintenance in the northern part of Lancaster and parts of the surrounding counties of Berks, Chester, and Lebanon. I oversee planning, work execution, and quality assurance of tree work to PPL specifications. I also assess and schedule capital projects and right of way clearing. I am constantly in contact with the public assessing trees and working through customer inquiries. I am an ISA certified Arborist and also a certified pesticide applicator. I was an Agriculture educator at Garden Spot High School in New Holland, PA. I totally changed my taught curriculum from Natural Resources to Animal Science, and it has truly pushed me out of my comfort zone, but I have already learned so much! I have classes that range from 15-30 students in each class, and I create lessons, activities, and assessments for students to gain subject content. I consistently update our informational management system, and also communicate with parents, students, administrators, and community stakeholders to better our current programming. I was a natural resources teacher in Tilton, NH for 8 years. During that time, I became the part time CTE director in charge of the center for the last 4 years. In my program, I teach students applied skills such as forestry, wildlife and fisheries, conservation, sustainability, and drone technology. I was also able to assist in managing a 1500 sq. ft. greenhouse, taking care of multiple small animals, and teaching other courses in relation to floral design and outdoor power equipment. I was an avid FFA advisor that worked to build multiple state and national award winning students in CDEs from Agriculture Sales to Public Speaking.
