Chief Engineer for the first space mission from Cal Poly Pomona. Led a diverse and interdisciplinary team of 35 undergraduate students from a clean sheet 1.5U CubeSat design through development, integration, testing, and delivery to a private launch provider. BroncoSat-1 shall be a trailblazing demonstration of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Low Earth Orbit. Oversaw all technical and programatic aspects of the BroncoSat-1 spacecraft with particular emphasis on safe and effective remote work during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Highlights include: -Manufacture and testing of 5 iterations of a custom ARM based flight computer architecture -Drafting and testing of custom Python based flight software architecture -Development of custom thermal strap solution for NVIDIA Jetson Nano -Clean hood integration of space flight hardware-Development of a custom test setup for satellite attitude determination and control systems-Extensive hardware-in-the-loop vacuum chamber testing-Over the air tests of GlobalStar based satellite communications systems -Interface with commercial companies for mission management, hardware procurement, and testing operations

Founding president and first program director for Bronco Space, Pomona's CubeSat Laboratory. I oversee a wide range of projects within Bronco Space including a High Altitude Balloon Research Program, two Cube Satellite Development Groups, a Liquid Rocket Research Group, Particle Physics Research Group, and STEM Outreach Program. Typical responsibilities beyond technical oversight also include top to bottom proposal writing and interfacing between the project teams, faculty mentors, and inter-institutional partnerships.
