Management: • Involved in the recruitment of a Junior Buyer, responsible for their induction and initial training,management of workload, continuous support and training. • Attending grievance meetings. • Supporting the Spares and Servicing department. • Streamlining current processes, renegotiating existing contracts and other exercises to savetime and money. • Development and implementation of new procedures across the Company to improvecommunication between departments, improve efficiency and reduce mistakes. • Attending Senior Leadership Team meetings• Project lead for managing transition from Microsoft Access operating system to Microsoft AX MRP system.

• Accurately purchase all raw materials according to manufacturing requirement through the use of an internal electronic order processing system and SAGE System. • Constantly striving to ensure lowest price/best quality by sourcing newpotential suppliers. • Negotiating final prices, lead times and quality. • Analysing supplier pricing matrix’ and cost breakdowns. • Supporting the Consumables Buyer. • Manually producing Vendor Schedule reports for entire international supply base on a weekly basis. • Creating monthly Key Performance Indicator reports to analyse supplier performanceenabling a ‘preferred supplier’ list to be devised. • Walking the Production Floor regularly to record any quality/supply issues and immediately liaising with Production Control/ Quality Assurance departments and the relevant supplier toresolve the issue. • Leading various projects to increase department efficiency and reporting capabilities such as rescheduling all outstanding Purchase Orders to allow for accurate cash flow forecasting; actively decreasing unwanted stock‐hold and implementing the close monitoring of all sub‐contracted fluctuating costs to ensure maximum profit margins. • Visiting/auditing suppliers and leading supplier meetings. • Fulfilling Purchasing Manager responsibilities in their absence including attending weekly update meetings and resolving any day to day issues.
