I presently a Shipping Coordinator at a Custom Casework (cabinets, counters, desks, podiums and display cases for jewelry and liquor/wine) for both Commercial clients (Costco is our main client) and Residential properties. My job involves me building and crating pallets for our products, wrapping cabinets for delivery to residential properties and shipping of our products and receiving in material from suppliers via forklift. I presently have 3+ years experience as a Shipping Coordinator. I am also a 14.5 yr Navy Veteran who possesses a technical background in meteorology and oceanography. I have 14.5 yrs combined experience as a weather forecaster, weather observer and upper air technician. I rose to the rank of Petty Officer First Class/E-6 and successfully managed a watch team aboard ship and ashore on a watch floor. I am currently a student at the University of Arizona studying Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technology with dual minors in History and Leadership Studies. I expect to graduate with a B.S. degree in the Fall of 2021. I am able to provide excellent customer service, supervise and manage employees, perform various quality assurance task as assigned, operate a variety of office technology and cutting edge office equipment including computers and Microsoft software i.e., Windows XP/7/10, Microsoft Suite 2003/2007, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access.
