My primary methodologies are using trauma-informed Solution Focused Brief Therapy and trauma-informed experiential therapies. My experience has primarily been in the field of addictions, with those in the criminal justice system, and the military. While I enjoy working with these challenging yet rewarding clients, I would also like to branch out to other adult populations. I am currently working the military population and their families.I believe that gaining self-knowledge is important; altering behaviors is important; however, deep, meaningful change and personal growth occur when the client experiences a different self and a different world. This can be accomplished through a healing relationship between the client and therapist based on empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude.
