Michael has 18 years of diversified experience in public accounting in various assurance and consulting capacities. While working in the audit group of Wolf & Company, LLP and BKD, LLP, Michael gained an in-depth understanding of a wide variety of industries, including: manufacturing, distribution, transportation, construction, broadcasting, not-for-profit and higher education. As a member of the Selden Fox Auditing and Assurance Group, Michael conducts independent reviews of financial statements and audit reports prepared by the firm for a variety of clients. He also monitors and develops procedures to minimize high-risk areas for the firm’s clients. Michael assists with the development and teaching of the firm’s continuing education curriculum.Prior to joining Selden Fox, Michael worked at BKD, LLP (presently know as Forvis Mazars), focusing primarily on forensic accounting and litigation support engagements involving contractual, marital and estate disputes, fraudulent financial reporting, financial analyses, fraud investigations, piercing the corporate veil and compliance procedures.He has led and assisted in complex forensic engagements, including investigations of allegations of fraudulent financial reporting, misappropriation of assets, loan fraud, noncompliance with regulations and contractual agreements, business economic loss, professional negligence, fidelity claims and due diligence.He also assists businesses in the areas of fraud risk assessment, fraud prevention and training.
