I am a semi-retired management consultant who provides technical and project management advice to public and private sector clients throughout Atlantic Canada. In January of 2011 I retired from Bell Mobility after 38 years of uninterrupted service. During my career with Bell and its affiliates I worked in various management jobs within Bell Mobility, Bell Aliant, Aliant, and Maritime Telegraph & Telephone (MT&T). I am now an independent consultant working from my home in Bedford, Nova Scotia.While working with Bell I held several management roles within the telecommunications sector including detailed design, network planning, equipment standardization, and management of various design and operations teams. For the last fifteen years of my career with Bell I focused on public safety two-way radio systems. My responsibilities then included providing senior management with design concepts, planning scenarios, business case costing information, and tactical and technical pre-sales advice for enterprise networks. I am a seasoned manager experienced in many aspects of designing and building the transport and access elements of a modern communications network. I am accustomed to implementing a rapid change agenda, and dealing with the stresses and challenges that such an agenda introduces into an organization.Since retiring I have been hired by various clients to provide advice in the area of large scale radio communications networks.
