Collaborated with cross-functional teams to plan, develop, and implement innovative educational and data collection strategies. Extracted and transferred data from hundreds of Microsoft Word documents into Excel spreadsheets to facilitate comprehensive statistical analysis. Leveraged data visualization tools such as charts, graphs, and info graphics to effectively illustrate findings and make them accessible to diverse audiences.

Canuck place is a non-profit and is the leading center for medical care and research for palliative children in Western Canada. As statistician and health care researcher for Canuck place, I work with medical director Dr. Hal Siden, Gail Andrews and their team to investigate ways to improve pediatric palliative care. During my time at Canuck place, I managed several projects working with:- Charting the Territory - A longitudinal study taking place over 5 years trying to assess the functional level of children with progressive, non-curable diseases. High dimensional time series patient data was collected and prepared (dynamic time warping, autoencoder, gaussian mixture methods) to help understand the lived experience of children with non-curable illnesses and families experiences.- BC population data - A study evaluating the provinces needs for further children's palliative care. Data was collected from 8 BC medical bodies to evaluate the future need for further palliative care support. High dimensional time series patient data. - Assisting the Siden lab team with additional statistical analysis/programmatic solutions as necessary for their projects.- Presenting on a statistical analysis of Charting the Territory at Child Bright 2023, as well presenting on "AI's place in Healthcare" an internal presentation for physicians, nurses, researchers and health care team members at Canuck Place.As part of my role, I am responsible for the:- Cleaning, formatting, and analysis of time series data for quantitative statistical analysis.- Implementation of clustering, dimension reduction and prediction of patient out comes (using autoencoders, dynamic time warping, optimal kmeans clustering, and RNNs)- Visualization, presentation and reporting on statistical findings.- Recommending future direction of research projects under my management.

The Sunstella program is designed as a PhD preparatory program which goes to help graduate students in computer science become better machine learning researchers. This program partners graduate students with PhD Candidate mentors, and current innovative machine learning projects to assist in publishing computer science research.I was partnered with a professor of computer science specialized in artificial intelligence for health care through UIUC (Dr. Jimeng Sun) and a physician-informaticist (Dr. Adam Cross) who were researching the long term effects of respiratory illnesses on children's health outcomes through the use of graph attention networks, clinical feature extraction, neural backed decision forests.

At TLEC, I work to review and develop renewable energy research. My positions includes researching and writing technical reports, minor programs, creating presentations, and reviewing patent documents.

I tutored several students throughout and after university within the fields of university level biology and nursing related courses as well as high school and university mathematics.

Worked with the hospital as a Cardiac nurse, as well as the community as an ambulatory care nurse (wound care, IV management, patient education).

Gathered patient data pertaining to the effects of anti-coagulant use on patient imaging after traumatic brain injury. During this experience I reviewed over 2000 patient charts to find the information required for the study.

I was responsible for setting up lab simulations and educating students in various nursing procedures and techniques.

I worked as a lifeguard and advanced level swim instructor for several years. My responsibilities included opening/closing the pool and keeping patrons safe as they swam, instructing children and adults from 3 years to 99 years and teaching life guarding courses to lifeguards in training.
