Principle remit defined as partnering closely with customers, meeting expectations and strengthening the partnership whilst delivering value to the greater business unit.• Nominated to cover as Area Operations Manager, aligning document management protocol to service standards averted risk of site access revocation for non-compliance.• Led Area process and procedure updates to meet bi-annual equipment site compliance updates. • Actively recruited and transferred Operators to a mine site, proactively negotiated training and assessment facilitation, fast-tracking availability for site from six weeks to two weeks.• Led the implementation of a new digitized utilization recording system (MyMPU) within the Peabody Qld Group. • Identified opportunity to negotiate with local service provider for quality control equipment maintenance, attaining shorter maintenance turnaround (two weeks reduced to three days) and a 70% reduction in cost. • Actively managed operational expenditure, rationalizing staffing and equipment availability against contractual obligations. • Led COVID 19 response including sourcing and supply of cleaning equipment for use in mobile equipment; managing/avoiding possible cross-contamination between crews; adopting strategies to avoid mass gatherings; ensuring the ready supply of PPE and testing equipment; and regularly liaised with company HR and HSEC representatives to convey information in both directions. • Led the business unit introduction of a web-based logistics tracking app, now utilised across the wider business.• Implemented the presentation of safety meetings outside of working hours when the bulk of the workforce was located at one accommodation camp. Researched issues and created a document explaining which gloves were to be used and why.
