• Led agile development of scalable microservice architecture for new cryptocurrency ecosystem that enabled the company to provide a web & mobile trade experience. Built APIs that allowed for order mgmt., account ledgering, & exchange market data for mobile users. Resulted in more accessibility for users & increased trade activity.• To expand revenue streams, led architecture and development team for serverless implementation of new product platform. Delivered Phase 1 of project within four months, which allowed for test of product/market fit & realignment of strategic vision for long term success.• Investigated solution for customer’s single sign experience across multiple company products. Planned, architected, and helped team deliver on authentication solution, which will reduce customer friction during onboarding/login experience.• Through industry reductions in force and macro-economic uncertainty, created a supportive and team-oriented culture with high levels of morale, performance & engagement. Provided ways to remediate longstanding issues & improve the customer experience.

• Helped increase profit margins by 1-2+% across several internal groups by adding a new product feature that leveraged Google’s smart bidding strategy & managed the paid search budget on behalf of marketing analysts. Additional features were later added to improve the effectiveness of the analyst’s job function (keyword manager, account audit/health).• To reduce department expenses, analyzed costs & uncovered unused cloud resources. Performed updates within Terraform that resulted in $38k annual savings.• To expedite onboarding of new associates, created workflow/process diagrams for how the microservice ecosystem is organized/executed. Resulted in quicker ramp up & more immediate contributions for engineering feature development.• In order to reduce overhead & maintenance for team, reviewed over 100 code repositories that the group was accountable for. Resulted in many repositories being archived, several ReadMe files updated (purpose/benefit, how to use), and two services being decommissioned that were no longer adding value. In addition, created templates & instruction guides that helped PMs effectively communicate biz requirements to engineering, improving team execution.• To improve observability of critical product functions, led team through alerting overhaul that included new relic implementations of error conditions such as bids not placed, projections off, data not stored. This provided more immediate feedback & engagement on the team when critical areas were underperforming.• To spur technical innovation and problem solving, scheduled regular “Fight it out Friday” and “Day of Innovation” sessions for the team to discuss challenging topics and encourage continuous improvement (PRs, deploys, local testing, code gen). This created a collaborative and psychologically safe culture where learning is valued & growth is expected.

• Turned around struggling team by problem solving project issues, communication gaps, and technical hurdles. Collaborated with project/product mgmt., mfct., marketing, and regulatory groups to unblock issues and release 4G cellular products in under 5 months, which drove new revenue for company. Feedback for being organized and effective.• To grow customer base and expand into new markets, recommended next generation system offering that would allow for global product launch into EMEA and China. Gathered regulatory requirements, estimated project and created technical innovation roadmap (wireless capabilities, communication protocols) to support future growth/expansion.• Transformed organization from a manual test mindset, to an automated first framework. Drove DevOps from no CI/CD to over 1000 automated tests in Jenkins pipeline with ~70% ROI (people hours). Implemented infrastructure improvements to modernize tools, agile processes, and workflows to grow team productivity, communication, and efficiency.• In order to educate about the benefits of software monetization, compiled research and options for how to successfully grow revenue with software services. Shared with leadership and spoke at a corporate research conference of over 600 attendees.• To align teams towards an iterative product development approach, trained over 60 associates across 5 working sessions towards the agile methodology. Introduced new tools (JIRA scrum), processes (retros, demos), and mindsets to reduce time to market for product updates. Helped bring clarity to organizational roles and development expectations.• Helped reorganize engineering teams to align with technology strategy, competency center, and innovation focus (systems, sensors, services). Empowered individuals to grow their knowledge base, level their skillsets, and engage with regional product development (NA, EMEA, AP). Traveled to engineering sites to coach/mentor, set goals, hire and provide tech leadership.

• Led a cross-functional team in the development of sensor hardware, firmware, PC based software applications, web services, database design, and mobile applications (iOS/Android). Provided mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback 12 full-hire and contract employees. Responsible for hiring, retention, salary and performance reviews.• Met key milestones for government program that generated significant revenue for B3. System exceeded expectations of client where B3’s expertise was requested to assist program partners fulfill their deliverables.• Spearhead efforts to implement engineering server with requirements system, configuration management, project management tracking, code review, and qualification processes. • Developed Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) application with unreleased, market leading microprocessor. Applied low power design principles for best-in-class power consumption, increasing battery life by 50%.• Identified project halting TI microprocessor errata within ADC/DMA modules, and developed resourceful workaround that helped B3 avoid substantial hardware redesign. Savings estimated at $35k.

• Managed full cycle development, requirements gathering thru delivery, of software feature that interfaced with customer application and generated first sales of $2.5m in 2008 as well as follow-on sales.• Identified performance problem while using GPS within military radio. Initiated use of new IDE analysis tool and resolved the issue. Helped customer realize 45% improvement to system performance.• Coordinated multi-person software project tasks that consisted of providing estimates and schedules to management as well as mentoring to young professionals. Due to fast-paced problem-solving aptitude, hardware delivered ahead of schedule and software maintenance needs reduced by 50%.
